STAUBER Performance Ingredients, Inc. Acquires Pharmline, Inc.

Fullerton, CA (May 22, 2012) - STAUBER Performance Ingredients, Inc., with New York, NY and Atlanta, GA based equity sponsor, ICV Partners, are pleased to announce the acquisition of Florida, NY based PHARMLINE, Inc. from Gadot Biochemical Industries, Ltd.

"We are extremely pleased to join forces with Pharmline's experienced management and product development team. For many years we have outsourced the majority of our manufacturing and processing, and while we will continue to do so for some of our business, the establishment of PHARMLINE as our manufacturing arm is a pivotal step to our future as we endeavor to become a complete 'solution-provider' to our growing customer base," stated Dan Stauber, CEO of STAUBER Performance Ingredients, Inc.

"Today marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Pharmline. We look forward to consolidating our leading position in granulation, toll compaction, premixes, triturations, custom made blends, microencapsulation and instantizing services. By becoming part of STAUBER, we can bring the strength of our top brands and years of processing experience, quality and know-how, and match them together with STAUBER's strong team, professional approach and reach to the market! The beauty of the situation is that when Dan and I first started discussing possible 'scenarios between our two companies,' there was relatively little overlap or conflict, the combined revenues would be in excess of $100M, and both sides had an abundance of product development projects in the works," said Olivier Guiot, President of Pharmline.

"That was one of the most attractive aspects," repeated Stauber, and then added, "not only did we find relatively minimal geographic overlap and complimentary product portfolios, but a seasoned and still relatively young staff with both companies, all very absorbed in the industry and eager to grow the business! Pharmline's facility is cGMP compliant, as well as ISO 9001:2000 and HACCP certified, and we look forward to broadening the processing capabilities plus continually refine the R&D and Quality Departments in the future. Our shared values, promotion of quality ingredients, passion for innovative customer solutions, and desire to provide the highest level of customer service are what will drive the combined companies going forward."

"Tres Generaciones...."

Employees at the Fullerton, California headquarters were graced in late January with a surprise (and long overdue) visit by Jerry Stauber, founder of the former "Stauber Chemical, Inc.," precursor chemical distribution agency which then converted to STAUBER Performance Ingredients, Inc., founded by son Dan Stauber.

Jerry, now 81 years old, has survived two forms of cancer and major back surgery, but exercises daily to keep himself very fit.  He and wife, Doris, remain busy with various personal pursuits & hobbies, and spending time with family. During his visit he shared some memories with some members of the Sales & Sales Support teams, talking about "putting customers first, always doing what is right," and a few other ideologies which are representative of the core foundation of STAUBER today.

Jerry is seen here, flanked on his right, by grandson Louie Stauber, Account Executive, and on his left by son, Dan, Founder/CEO.
