Director of Consumer and Health Professional Communications
Thomas is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of experience in international sales, marketing, and management. Since joining Epax Norway AS in 2007, he has led the company’s global commercial strategy, overseeing market communication, budgeting, personnel, investments, and strategic projects. His leadership spans both the Ålesund and Oslo offices, where he drives initiatives that position Epax at the forefront of the condition-specific Omega-3 industry.
Prior to Epax, Thomas held senior roles at Borregaard LignoTech, an Orkla-owned global chemical company, where he served as Regional Director, and at Elkem ASA, an international metals and materials company. He holds a degree from Copenhagen Business School and is known for his strategic acumen in product development, business growth, and market expansion.
In addition to his leadership at Epax, Thomas has demonstrated a long-standing commitment to the Omega-3 industry through his active involvement with GOED (Global Organization for EPA and DHA Omega-3s) as Board Member since 2017
Dr. Chris McGlory is a leading researcher in exercise metabolism and skeletal muscle physiology. His research program focuses on understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms that govern how skeletal muscle adapts to nutrition, exercise training, and immobilization. He specializes in the use of stable isotopic tracers to measure skeletal muscle protein turnover, alongside advanced molecular biology techniques to assess enzyme activity, protein expression, and post-translational modifications.
Dr. McGlory holds a PhD from the University of Stirling (UK), an MPhil and BSc from Liverpool John Moores University (UK), and teaches undergraduate courses such as Advanced Human Nutrition and Advanced Protein Metabolism at Queen’s University in Canada.
His work has been widely published in journals such as FASEB Journal, Journal of Physiology, and Frontiers in Nutrition, with notable studies on the role of Omega-3 fatty acids in mitigating muscle disuse atrophy and enhancing protein synthesis.
Elana is a nationally recognized food and nutrition expert and registered dietitian with over two decades of experience in communications. At GOED, she leads initiatives to educate both consumers and healthcare professionals about the science-backed benefits of EPA and DHA omega-3s. Her work bridges the gap between scientific research and public understanding, helping to promote informed dietary choices and industry transparency.
Before joining GOED, Elana built a career in nutrition strategy, public relations, and health professional education. She has spoken at numerous industry events and webinars, including sessions focused on omega-3s, global consumption trends, and consumer engagement.
